• Your first three sheets (4’x8′) are FREE​ (If new plywood is required)

Add protection for vulnerable areas of the roof against wind-driven rain and ice dams.

We recommend self-sealing GAF WeatherWatch® Mineral-Surfaced Leak Barrier at the eaves and rakes, in valleys, and around chimneys and skylights for anyone living in cold weather areas.

Step 3

Underlayment

Provides a critical layer of extra protection between the shingles and roof deck to resist wind-driven rain (or moisture from other sources) that can cause damage to the roof structure

We recommend durable, long-lasting underlayment like GAF Deck-Armor™ Premium Breathable Roof Deck Protection with strength and breathability to help protect your home against wind driven rain and trapped moisture.

Step 4

Starter Shingle & Roofing Shingles

Shingles are the outermost protection for your home, keeping you safe from the elements and giving your home a stylish capper.

We recommend the GAF UHDZ Shingle with Dual Shadow Line that gives sunset shadows all day long and protects against algae and wind damage.

Step 5

Ventilation

Balanced and effective attic ventilation reduces the risk of premature roof system deterioration caused by damaging heat and moisture trapped in the attic.

For a simple gable roof design with ample ridge line, we recommend GAF Cobra ® Ridge Ventilation products. For hips, dormers, valleys, or more complex roof designs with little or no ridge area, we recommend GAF Master Flow ™ off-ridge vents.
